Check with Primary Arms. I bought a Radical 6.8 complete rifle for $400. I can't get to the website from work otherwise I would send you the link.

Sent you a PM w/ a link to a nice one. Start with an ARP, Bison, BHW, etc.....REPUTABLE barrel, in 6.8 or 6.5.....you couldn’t give me a yankee Hill, Wilson, or no name....for a hunting AR build. JME.

Cole Blackmon built me a nice 6.5 to use for a youth gun.

Stay away from ARP, the owner is scum and I don't think his credentials are accurate.

I have a nice Grendel Lilja 11.5" barrel and Precision Firearms BCG if you're interested in building an upper.

ARP barrels shoot, and MANY others don’t, and even have oval throats. Among 6.8 folks, I know of no complaints about ARP quality, service, or individuals associated. The 6.8 forums site doesn’t either.

I’ll second this. If you’re looking to buy a complete upper message me. I have a 18” 6.8 I might be willing to part with. It shoots around .75 MOA at 100yds.

There you go.

FWIW, Grendel people hate the folks at ARP, because of the 6.8 push.....and the ‘not a grendel’ 6.5 wildcats, as well. ....hurts their Grendel fan club. I’d run s 264 LBC, just to tick them off, also.

Build the lower. You can get what you want and they are pretty easy to put together. Don’t forget you will likely need a 6.5 specific mag. You might be able to stick a few rounds in a standard mag but I’ve never tried it with my 6.8.

Built a few back when I reloaded. I’m over that noise. I would rather pay someone else to do it now.

Can’t argue with that. Good luck, hope it shoots well for you.

Ignorance at it's finest. This isn't the place for that conversation, but if you want to start a new thread I'm sure I can find time to tear apart the SOB that owns arp.

Why don’t you take it up with him? I’ve had 3 top notch barrels. That’s what he does AFAIK. Why would I care about your apparent personal beef, unless you just can’t help but want me to? Start your own thread with specific references, and on the 6.8 forums would probably be more appropriate. There’s apparently some thin skin around Grendel’s. Seems to show up all over. If that’s not this subject, then you can enlighten everyone elsewhere that cares.

Just tell precision tactical you want a middle of the road lower and let them build it. That way if there are tuning problems they will take care of it.
