I got Irish Setter VaprTrks this year, and they are super comfortable. They have been absolutely great so far. I have read some reviews where people had problems, but I don't have any yet.

I've heard that multiple times. I've walked through SOME water but I don't think I'll be going through anything deep in them. Haven't had a problem yet.

Chippewa originals, ive hadem all. And im the place where good boots go to die.. I destroy boots but ive yet to kill these chips tho ive tried. My next rec would be russell moccasins. I know ive named 2 of the most expensive brands but i use them alot an i need somethin that will hold up. If your a weekend warrior then buy some lesser boot. Danners are excellent..my brother has a pair of jackals and the pronghorns are a triple stiched work of art. Disregard all of the above if you will only be wearing them occasionally..i used mine to work in and wore them everyday, tho if it holds up to everyday use then it will be overly prepared for the occasional romp chasing critters. Good luck to you sir.

I just bought a pair of Cabela's Copperhead snake boots and they lace/unlace easily to take off. Very comfortable.

another with irish setter vaprtek. comfortable and light. i treat them with a can of silicone spray a couple of times a year (camp dry type stuff) and they stay somewhat water tight, but I don't treat them like rubber boots through shin deep bottoms (tromping across ditches or water crossings don't normally cause any leaking).

Idk how snake boots can get any better than Danner pronghorns. Lace up with side zipper, and they are the most comfortable shoes/boots I own. They aren't completely waterproof, but I usually hop the small creeks around here anyway. I've heard great things about the setters and Chippewas too.

Ditto. My VaprTreks leak like a screen door. Got them replaced under warranty and the replacements leak too. You are better off sticking with LaCrosse or Chippewa.
