Elliot pecans opened up here in Opp at 1.50-1.75 a pound. However price is most definantly gonna go up with the pecan crop loss in Georgia.

My yard is full of good pecans. That recent wind really turned em loose. I just cracked a random handful and every one was real good. I'm surprised, there's usually a few decent ones, but all of these were good. Normally I wouldn't fool with em. But I might pick up some of these and freeze them.

Even the ones with green husks were shriveled. The was only a handfull on this tree last two years. There are a bunch on there this year. Maybe they will get better later.

I've got none left.

Dave if you wanna make a trip to clanton, come on. What I've sampled so far are good. I have stuarts, mayhans, money makers and a couple of hybrids. All mature trees.

I was out cleaning up my tractor this morning and the ground was covered with pecans. All this wind has shaken lots of pecans off the trees. The ones I cracked were good, wonder what price they're bringing now $11 a dang pound at Sprouts.

Looks like we are having a decent year up here. Couple of our younger trees are producing for the first time.
