Who uses them? Are they worth the money and the added weight to your arrow? Been debating on getting one or the other, but I've never had a problem finding my arrow after the shot? Is it just a gimmick for ones with bad eyesight? Looking for suggestions whether it's worth it or not.

Get the nufletch ignitor lighted nocks. They're more durable and you can replace the batteries. They're not a gimmick. They help you see your shot placement in low light situations and aid in finding your arrows.

Are they heavier? Should I reshoot my bow once installed?

They do add a little weight but you won't notice it unless you're shooting past 40 yards.

I've used nocturnal, lumenok and nufletch and I prefer the nufletch. Nocturnals are hard to turn off and blood can get in them and ruin them. Lumenoks are bad about going off after impact. I practiced with them one year before Buckmasters and had several that the battery came loose and ended up crushed on the arrow insert. I've been shooting the same dozen nufletch for three years now and have only had one nock to fail. Considering these have probably 500+ shots on them I don't think that's to bad.

Lumenoks are trash IMO. I prefer the new style Nockturnals and the NuFletch Ignitors that sluggun mentioned. Both have pros and cons. For higher volume shooting I would definitely lean towards the NuFletch because the component system makes it simple to replace/repair parts as needed without trashing whole nock. As far as Nockturnals filling with blood, a dab of string wax in switch hole prevents that and finding the right tool makes turning them off a breeze (I keep an eyeglass screwdriver just for that in my bow case and my hunting pack) Depending on what diameter arrows you shoot I just might have a 3pk of Ignitors that you can try.

I'll take you up on that offer if they'll fit a Beman ICS 340.

Looks like those Beman ICS 340 might take an S-nock size and the ones I have are smaller X-nocks.

I have both. I like the lumenoks. They are brighter and have a replaceable battery.

No problems with my nockturnals. I also have the Nufletch. Had one drive me nuts rattling. I also didn't like adding the insert to my arrows, pretty much limits my nock options.

Don't glue them in. Use a plastic bag to put them in and you can take them back out whenever you want to.

I did that and had to take pliers to remove the insert... Which in turn, damaged it.

Leave the nock partially in it. Hold the insert with pliers just enough to keep a grip on it. Twist and pull up at the same time. It should come out. Jaw marks on the outside of the insert won't hurt anything. If you do crush the insert a little you can drive the back side of a drill bit in it to straighten it back out.

After over 30 years of bow hunting I have used them all even one year using one that had a magnet taped to the side of my bow to activate it. With technology today most any lighted nock will work fine and the battery life is great.
I have used the Nockturnals for the last 4-5 years with no problems and I like the green over the red.

Or leave them on the shelf and use my nocturnals. The damage was enough to leave sharp edges and I don't care for that on my arrows. I glued one in and don't like having limited options. I carried 4 regular nocks and 1 lighted this year in case I shot right at dark.

I have been using the nock out brand. They come with multiple fit inserts to fit all shaft types. Also have an awesome option to turn a small collar below the knock to put it in practice mode so the light doesn't come on in practice. Also easy to turn off after you shot by pulling the nock back. Real cheap compared to other name brands.

I've been shooting Nockturnal for several years with good luck. Most of the time I can shoot multiple deer with the same nock but every now and then I've had blood get in it and ruin it. I just toss it and grab another. As much money as I spend on chasing deer the cost of the nocks doesn't worry me too much.
