Has anyone ever poured a concrete table top? Any tips? I'm thinking about pouring one to be a tall kitchen table.

I poured concrete countertops in Mom's new house last year. I used melamine for form boards and vibrated with an orbital sander. For a table top you can you can 'wet' set fasteners for your table frame.

I've seen it done several times but never personally.

In addition to what BamaRick said, I'd use silicone to caulk the horizontal and vertical edges to give the counter a rounded edge.

I've seen folks use insulating foam in the center to offset the volume of concrete needed along with weight. Not sure how that would impact the counter strength-wise.

I made the top for my grill table out of concrete. It will look better if you use a couple different colors of concrete dye. I'd never heard of anyone doing it before but it came out great and looks kind of like granite.

Flip it legs up and put your grate on top and pizza stone on the grate and cook 2 pizzas at 600 deg and it will be as clean as mine.

Do you mind going through the process of making that concrete counter? Did you make a form out of something slick like Formica and flip it upside down to pour? Is it reinforced with a wire mesh?

I made a form out of melamine and I cut out a circle of the hard pink foam insulation to make up for the hole where the grill goes. After I got my form like I liked it I siliconed all the joints so they would have a rolled edge. I used different color concrete dye and threw it in the form a handful at a time to make the mottled pattern. I did use rebar around the sides and re mesh for strength. I let it cure for 4 days and too it out of the form and sealed it and it was done.

What kind of concrete did you use for that grill countertop?
