Sad to say I am heavier then I ever have been, I am at 295lbs. I need to lose a total of probably 70lbs but I will set my 60 day total goal to lose 30lbs. Hopefully by the end of this I can come off blood pressure meds and continue a healthy lifestyle.

Research Ketogenic Diet if you are not familiar with it. I've lost 56 lbs since January and feel better than I have in years. My health screening numbers have improved as well. I could ditch the BP meds if I would exercise just a little.

I'm in. I was in the 240's and happy because I was strong, had some decent muscles/size for an old man and wearing the same size pants I wore in colleg 20 years ago. I had a complete tear of my supraspinatus (rotator cuff) in March of last year and after 6 weeks of treatment they decided to do an MRI that revealed the tear. Surgery was scheduled for May 31st and I went under the knife. Well, it got worse when Dr Cain got in there to repair it. Turned out that I had also torn my bicep away from the labrum. Recovery and physical therapy was very slow. I went from benching 405 to not being able to press just the bar. I let it get me down and last fall I allowed my eating to get out of control and I've packed on the weight. I've been miserable and finally said screw this im getting back into to shape. So, I started 3 weeks ago weighing in at 307 & as of today I'm down 7lbs looking to be around the 240 mark by Christmas. I really don't care how much I weigh so much as how my clothes fit and what size they are. To avoid further injuries I'm trying to be smart and not push my lifting to heavy but I will continue to train on weights but I'm spending more time on cardio and diet the next few months to get this fat off. Good luck guys!!!

you know, i never thought bought this challenge but decided to see what i could do by just cutting out a few things or cutting down a few things.. i weighed 235ish a month ago and started just watching my portions.. eating the same things just watching potions. i also cut out 90 percent of my snack cakes... i dont eat alot anyways but the kids would open one up and eat half and of course i would finish it.. the big kicker though i believe was sweet tea though.. my weakness.. i would drink a gallon at work ( i work shift work and they buy us tea bags that are entirely to sweet ) but have since quit and only drinking water at work.. at home i still drink tea with my meals and half tea and half water anytime else or all water.. ive dropped to 218 when i weighed yesterday.. now it is making me to actually want to try and lose weight.... thanks for this thread..

I erased my losses from August 1st I suspect because of this weekend. Back at it tomorrow.

Scale ain't budged for me. I do pretty good about 4 days a week. Problem is there's 7 days in a week.
I'd just be tickled if I could get down to 235-240.

I'm down about 10 ~ 13# since the last week in July. I don't have a reliable scale so it's possible I maybe up 8# too.
