We are in what has to be the most ski'd in slough in lake martin, and our dock is almost to end at wide spot where they all turn around.
It's like a war zone. We had to buy a lift to keep the pontoon and dock from destroying each other
I just bought a fiberglass boat last week and I guess I'll pull it out on ramp every night until I get a second lift installed JBC where is your place at? Sounds like you may be in the slough where my inlaws place is. Waves from about 9am until 5pm all day long.

I realize anybody could say this about "fishing" too, but I always wonder what makes just simply riding in a boat fun? That make sense?... There are just tons of people all over the lake just riding around. Same thing with SeaDoos, how many times can you go round and round in a circle before it ain't fun anymore? It's like all the yuppies who have never been on a boat just get all Six Flags excited to ride one. "I'm on a booooat!!" I get skiing, that's an activity that you participate in, but most of the boats are just a group of folks riding around. I guess I take it for granted that I have grown up my whole life on boats, ridden in boats a gazillion-jillion times, so it's no different than just jumping in the car and riding down the highway. What's fun about that?? If you're out there "drankin' and havin' a good time", you ought not be doing that on a boat anymore than you should a car!

I wonder if folks trailer those things with the ballasts full as well? I'd just about guarantee you there are at least a decent number of morons that do...or have on occasion.

I have to scratch my head when someone who spends tens of thousands of dollars on a boat, thousands of dollars on gear and gasoline, and countless hours on the water all to catch a fish you are going to immediately put back in the water questions why someone would enjoy riding in a boat.

2. Harley pirate guy with not only the loud ass exhaust shouting "look at me!" but he also has to have the stereo speakers blaring out either rap or classic rock that he never grew tired of in high school... And all you're trying to do it find some peace and quiet. This IS how I find my peace and quiet! Rolling around on my Harley with loud pipes and music blaring is my getaway! LOL - and, yes, I just finished installing a 500w amp in it this past weekend too! LOL And that's where your freedom encroaches on mine, which is why there are noise ordinances.

I wonder if I can get a big fuel bag and fill it up with water in the back of Mrs. Geno's boat to make some big old waves.
