I had a pair that nested by my shop for a few years. Not sure if they still do.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Endangered species.. Shoot one and you are through for the year. Then they look at the season totals for all hunters and decide if you can hunt next season.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

central ala,
I've never seen one. I'll have to start paying more attention to the dove. I thought this thread was going to be about ring necks and you were calling them by the wrong name. I don't mind us getting new varmints around here like that.

I shot more white-wings than mournings last year in Gurley, AL. First time I had ever seen them. It was definitely fun. Fly in groups and higher than mourning doves... at least that was my experience last year.

I've saw some here several years ago, but haven't seen any in a while.

Killed several last year. First ones I'd ever seen around here.

I looked it up - they do count against your 15 limit. The DCNR website now calls it "mourning and white-winged dove season"

Never seen them in Alabama, but I've seen tons and tons of 'em in Texas and offshore of Texas. They seemed to be a good bit bigger than mourning dove, and I always thought that maybe if we had some in Alabama, I'd stand a better chance of hitting one during a shoot! laugh

We shot a field north of Frisco a couple of years ago and it was probably 80% white wings. I didn't see as many last year, but shot several in North Escambia county during the late season
