I recently emailed Winchester about the fact that they hype up new ammo but it is not available to the public. I tried to explain that respnsible people want to shoot the new ammo before they actually use it. Their response was basically that I could have the new ammo when they say I can, because they are so busy making other ammo. Is there no one at Winchester who sees they are loosing money this way? Seems the law of supply and demand says that if they could make more ammo they could sell more ammo. Are the investors not upset that Winchester is holding back and could be bringing in more profit? I think there is something else going on here. Why is it so hard to get ammo still?

Supply and demand also is:

People pay more when demand is more than supply.

I know their center and rimfire plants over in Oxford are running balls to the wall. What ammo are you having a hard time finding?

I do not have the time or space to reload right now. Deer season is 3 mos away so I want to shoot the round I could be hunting with sooner rather than later so I know weather or not my rifle likes it. They supposedly introduced Deer Season XP in .223 this year and I may be wrong but I haven't seen any yet. My 308 loves that round so I was hoping the .223 would be as good. At this point if the vital shock trophy bonded tip gets here sooner and groups remotely well, Federal will get my dollars this season.

You can still get reloading equipment and never have to worry about availability or price again.
