You guys have any experience catching reds/trout in this area? Going down early August and haven't fished down there before but would like to get the kids on a few. Any insight would be much appreciated!

All kinds of good both fresh and salt water there. I lived on a sailboat there at the marina for a year. Both piers offer good salt water fishing. Blacktip sharks are a blast to catch at night, the scallop vestival is a good time. Apalachicola is only 30 minutes away if you like oysters and good seafood. Friend of mine is a guide there if your looking for an inshore, or bay trip, and another friend runs the head boat out of the marina. Clara is the manager at the marina and can point you at several good charters out of the marina if your into that. www.shorethangfishing.com/
