Who hunts Greene County, particularly North of 20/59? Looks like we've found a place to hunt this year. Without being too specific, it's Greene Co, north of the interstate.
500ish acres and looking at the aerial pics, looks to be about half clear cut (not sure how recent - but was just cut when the satellite image was taken) and half hardwoods with a few small open patches in the hardwoords. looks to be relatively flat.
I don't know much about the area, but it won't cost me a lot and I'll get to hunt with family again. What kind of reputation does this general area have for deer?

Also, if anyone has any feedback that they don't want to post publicly, feel free to PM me. I guess I'm just trying to have realistic expectations.

Good area. Several clubs I know of in that area that do "real" deer management and have some fantastic deer shot off the club every year. You should be good.

Check with Troy. He's knowledgeable about the hunting in Greene Co. I can tell you that it has a good reputation, but like everywhere, that can depend on the tract.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

we won't have turkey rights anyway. I almost didn't join at all for that reason, but when I balked over it, they agreed to let me pay significantly less since I won't get to turkey hunt.

Ive hunted it my whole life, depends on what property your on. If the timber hasnt been cut in the last 20 years, which is gettin harder to find down that way without spendin a ton of money, its probly pretty dang good but it aint what it once was. Still lots of deer an turkeys tho, an they has been some giants killed in the area inthe past few years

I have some 550 acers just north of Ralph. We have had it 11 years now. The hunting has improved greatly especially the last 3 years. I see deer about 3 out of 5 hunts. We have few whacky non typical deer around. The rut it hot between Dec. 20th to jan 3rd ish for us. Last year I was sitting on a 2 Acer field last year and had 15 long beard turkeys in the feild at one time. Tons of turkeys.
