Jarod OP 3 point J Joined: Jul 2015 Posts: 173 Montgomery, AL	I decided to build a cabin on my land in Montgomery and seeing how I enjoy watching "Irishguy's" build so much I have decided to post updates on mine here as well. Unfortunately I am not skilled enough to build one myself so I am paying someone, still it is a dream come true and I am very excited. I started the dream last year by having a concrete pad poured for a 26'x40' metal building with an additional 10' lean-to off one side. I also had a septic tank installed around the same time. I will be having the metal building wired for electric this summer and finished off with work benches and custom cubbies down the road. Pics of the metal building being erected: The guy started on my cabin yesterday afternoon and sent me a picture showing the corner stakes leveled and set in concrete. This is what the finished product should look like.... Hopefully the pics work. I will post updates as things progress. Hope you enjoy.

I just got a quote to spray my metal building. I will get a quote when the cabin is finished. From what I have read it is generally cheaper than fiberglass route. You have experience with spray insulation? Recommend it?

Jarod OP 3 point J Joined: Jul 2015 Posts: 173 Montgomery, AL	So I had Military training at Ft McClellan Alabama and went by the farm to check in on the cabin afterwards. Due to the rain the build is going slower than I would like but it is coming along nicely. The two bedrooms are framed out along with the bathroom. The 4th wall will go up after they finish the loft and roof to allow for lumber being brought in through a bigger opening. They started the loft and roof yesterday and I hope to have some pics in a few days of that being completed. The guy building says he should be done in another 2 weeks if rain will hold off. Then I will pick away at the inside with some friends helping when time allows.
