longest you have killed or actually seen...

I've kill half a dozen birds with 12-12.5" beards

an unnamed buddy killed one, his first and only, that went 14 1/4, had 8-10 hairs over 14". He didn't even know if it was a good beard

I've seen on near Auburn that an old man had killed many years ago that went a solid 13", seen one that went 14", but it was an 11" with a couple of curled up long hairs.

12 3/4 for me,and several with 12...My old mentor killed one with a 14.5 inch beard,and 1.75 inch spurs!

11 1/2" for me

I've killed 1 that went 12.5, 2 that went 12.25. Saw a pic of one from a buddy that supposedly went 16". This was 2 weeks ago. Looked to be a few long hairs bout 2 inches longer than the solid part of the beard. Sucker was long any way u look at it though

My longest one is 13". I have a few 12-12 1/2 most are 10-11.

A buddy of mine has one mounted that is 14" long. He was sporting 1 7/8 spurs on both sides. Beautiful mount.

12 inches. Killed in Brookwood,Al. Turkeys rarely gobbled. Place was full of snakes.

This is the best beard I have ever seen personally and no I didn't kill it.

I've killed 2 that were 12.25. One in Bama that had a solid 12" beard with a few strands that measured 12.25 and one in Missouri that had a 12.25" rope plus a 4" beard growing above it that was just about as heavy!

12 1/4" and it had a leg band. Still the only band I've ever killed and the longest beard 18 years later

**first and foremost, I think beards are dumb and shouldn't count towards score**

That being said,...

My dad came down from Nashville on one hunt and killed a real good one last year. 2 good beards. Don't remember exact measurements. He's coming back this Friday morning for his one hunt of the year

The longest Ive seen is 15 1/2". It was killed by a friends son.
My longest is 11 1/2"

A solid 11" inches to the bottom of the bunch, also had a 4". I don't measure the longest strand like some guys I know

This one was about 11.5 inches as I recall. killed one more bird with one about the same length.

lad you posted the second picture, as on the first I was thinking to myself, "Nahh, Ain't no way".

I've killed a lot over 10", a few 11". The last bird i killed had 3 hairs that were 14.5" but the majority was 10.5". How long would ya'll call it? I just say 10.5".

11 3/4" for me.

I was part of a double with a buddy and his bird had a 12 1/2" beard and mine was right at 11". His bird's beard was the longest I've seen in person
