Ladder stand fall while releasing platform to move it.

Rode her backwards....Long ways down and life passed by me.

Lucky..... broke heel and damaged ankle.

Climbers are much safer than ladder stands....just my opinion.

Check out my username......

did not happen to me but thought you might find it PAINFUL.
A friend and family at a beach cooking on a hibachi, wife decided to move the hibachi and did not tell her husband. Sure enough he stepped in the sand where it had been located, severe burn up to his ankle. Same wife, changing his oil in a Bronco,
drained the oil, walked away for a few minutes, wife closes hood and drives off to do an errand. STILL MARRIED

Broke left arm twice when I was 5 years old. Crushed the last digits of my right middle and ring finger. Peeled the finger nails off from the back, broke the bones and mashed them so flat the tips of both fingers split open. Broken right little toe (f-ing couch). Lost count of how many times I've been sewn up from cuts. Cut the tendon in my left thumb almost completely in two. Had to wear a cast on that hand for six weeks after getting it sewn up. Fell down a ladder on this fort looking deal on the playground when I was 7 and nearly bit my tongue off. Broke my neck at the C4/C5 vertebrae back in 2009. Top vertebrae wedged on the lower one when it happened or I would be a quadriplegic on a ventilator if I had survived. Also tore my L5/S1 disc in the same accident.

I've had 3 surgeries. One on my neck, one on my lower back and had my left knee scoped for a torn meniscus. The most painful injury out of all of those was getting my fingers crushed. Nothing else I've done even comes close to that.

I can't compete with Deadwood, but even my wife laughs about some of my accidents.

1. Multiple broken toes on both feet - bone fused on left foot middle toe (I can flip you off with my toes - which is a neat bar trick). Dirt bike caused most of the damage to my left foot.
2. Broken fibula right leg - climber fall.
3. Multiple broken bones on right hand, three on left. Most from playing football or doing something incredibly stupid like letting a tree kickback while cutting down after a hurricane.
4. Right thumb broken in four places had 5-pins to repair.
5. Shattered right elbow and split the ulna (used screws to pull the bone together), and five broken ribs. Cable broke on the tractor while clearing property - lucky to be alive.
6. Broken collar bone and separated shoulder (right) - roller skating.
7. Nose broken twice - once playing basketball with dad, the other a Merle Haggard concert followed by a night of drinking and a roll bar on a jeep (it's a long story).
8. Broken jaw and 17-stiches in my chin - fell several feet over a cable railing at a dam and face planted.
9. I've been to the hospital 13-times for stitches in my head, not counting both eyes, and chin (see 8).

My entire injury lineup involves my lower right limb.
1. Sprained ankle jumping off of a trampoline
2. Broken tibia just under my knee cap crossing a log
3. Broken hip playing football
4. Rattlesnake Bite turkey hunting
5. Fractured heel bone (unknown cause)
5. Knee blowout (torn ACL, MCL, and full tear of the lateral meniscus, partially torn LCL) playing kickball (don't hate)

It's amazing the thing still works.

-Broke my right collar bone in high school.
-Broke my right shoulder all together a couple of years ago. AC joint to be exact.
-Tore the ligaments in my left ankle when I passed out from the pain of my broke shoulder. True story.
-Cut my right thumb nearly all the way off about 12 years ago. Hanging by meat. Got it all sewed back on.
-Broke a few fingers over the years, but nothing serious.

That's about it.

Arthritis in my lower spine putting pressure on my spinal chord. Bad burning in my legs almost all of the time.

Torn ligaments in my right foot in high school.

Stepped on a honey locust limb and had a thorn go through my boot into my foot. Severed the nerve and tore the tendon. No feeling in my 3 outer toes on my left foot.

Bad arthritis in my right hip. The joint is eaten up and I have to have hip replacement in May.

Broken fingers and toes over the years.

Drank a glass full of gasoline when I was 4 (thanks brother).

Ate a bottle of baby asprin and had my stomach pumped. The nurse used the adult tube instead of the child tube. Ripped my esophagus causing a bad infection and got to spend a week in the hospital due to their screw up.
