From the pictures I saw in another story it looks like the entire structure is compromised. They could have a full blown failure on their hands.

Maybe it'll wash the whole damn state into the Pacific. As much as you stupidly want that to happen your grocery bill will absolutely suffer if that occurs. Some of the most fertile productive land in this nation is in that area.

Maybe it'll wash the whole damn state into the Pacific. It would only kill my wife's entire family, who is currently being evacuated - but, yea I suppose it could happen. I wonder when a tornado levels one of our towns if they would say the same

It's fertile as long as their getting water...I think people underestimate how much produce is grown in states like Florida, Ga hell even New Jersey

If I am not mistaken this is the largest earthen dam in the US.

Its the tallest concrete damn in the US but the emergency spill way has an earthen base. Its never been tested before this and it looks like its failing.

If I am not mistaken this is the largest earthen dam in the US. Tallest, not the largest. 700 feet tall. That's holding back a LOT of water, or trying too.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
