Good luck everyone. It should be getting good with rut down here in the southern end of the state. Hope to catch one of the big guys slipping through.

Just climbed into a ladder stand overlooking a creek Bottom. 15 guys in camp should stir the deer up. Got a big doe yesterday afternoon.

Three hounddogs and curs at daylight on a new plot I worked in over Christmas, never hunted. Asshole owners need to keep their dogs up, just because you leave for Saturday fun time doesn't mean let your dog's roam all day. Rant over hope I see something

I'm back in Crenshaw county sitting in a creek bottom next to a clear cut. I'm sitting on the main trail they used last year during the rut.

Should I drag this damn coyote out of the field or leave him till I get done. He ran 5 deer off when he came in

I keep trying to convince myself to hunt in a different spot instead of my clearcut but it's hard to beat being able to see 250 yards in any direction in the peak of the rut.

I had a doe walk right past a dead coyote I shot in December. She got scared when she first noticed it at about 15 yards then went back to eating when she realized there was no threat.

Watching a field with pines on one side and hardwoods on the other. We've had 4 good bucks killed since Thursday. I'm feeling good about the weekend.

Here for my 3rd day in a row. Trying out a new spot in some pines that border hardwoods. Good luck to everyone.
