I saw several fresh rubs and scrapes in upper PRV yesterday

I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin

Bucks are seeking does. Does are not ready. At least it was that way Saturday and Sunday. Over the next few days a lot of breeding will be going on

Well, someone spotlighted a good 8 on the place I hunt Saturday night in Madoson Co. Landowner started seeing a few bucks last week. Left it laying in the pasture. Second time in three years a good deer I was hunting got spotlighted there. Kinda makes me not want to shoot another one. I only try for one good one a yr off the place. Neighbor has a pic of a stud that just showed up, so they are moving some.

8 pt hit this morning near Chapman Mtn where 565 begins. Police dragged it right in front of me. It was laying next to the concrete divider. So, I'm guessing he was chasing or searching.

Usually on our Madison Co. places its Jan 6-9th and then again around the 20th-23. Where I hunt up in PRV the rut is usually kicking right now. The deer my dad and I killed last weekend were cruising by themselves. I got a few pictures of bucks actually right behind does this past weekend in PRV.

We are not perfect, only forgiven!!!

I hunt in upper PRV and I don't believe its wide open yet. Some small deer have been reported trailing does the last two weeks. i watched a nice 8 point that I almost shot feed withing 40 yards of two does two weeks ago and he never once even looked at them. He was probably a 120" 2 1/2 year old. I have a lot of different bucks on multiple cameras using scrapes at night, just no real chasing going on yet.

Weekend before last i saw several bucks between 100" and 120" trailing deer but not really chasing. It was hard to tell this past weekend, not much activity due to temperature.
