Any sign of the rut? Scrapes rubs chasing? My buddy went this morning sent me a video of two bucks still together feeding. Jus seeing if anyone else has info.

I would think it's still a little early in your area.

A few scrapes here and there showing up my buddy said... probably the younger over eager bucks... ill be after them all weekend in the heat... speaking of which, I better make sure I pack my thermacell

Killed a buck last week that came through a clear cut with his nose to the ground, making rubs just like the two deer before him did on the same exact trail. His tarsals were black and they stunk to high heaven. I didn't see a doe come through before them, but it made me think that they were all on the trail of a hot doe.

We hunted in Covington County Saturday. Saw a ton of deer but almost no sign of rutting. One small three point chasing.

Hunted Fri-Sunday. No sign of chasing yet and most scrapes hadnt been cleaned from the rain either.

Starting to cruise around before the full moon but no chasing yet. Still a week or two out.

Trails are all tore up with scrapes... my buddy had a shooter come into some grunting this morning but couldn't close the deal.
