Had a friend strangle a wood duck once...
Swam right to the boat and he grabbed it. Ducks like any other animal have a fight or flight instinct. The duck is trying to claw him like a wolverine, so panicking he tries drowning it. After about a solid 20 seconds of a struggle he yells open the cooler and proceeds to run across the 12 ft jon boat. I almost fall off and he slams the lid shut. The duck kicked a few times and that was it. One of the funniest things I've ever seen.

We were deer hunting in the late 60's in north Pike county using dogs one day, the dogs were just circling off a dirt road in a bottom for a long time. We met up to eat some sardines and a doe the dogs were chasing jumped off the dirt bank right at a guy. He had one of the old thick glass RC cola bottles in his hand and just threw it at the doe at about 15 feet and killed her graveyard dead.

My brother swapped rifles with a new hunter one morning. The friends rifle had no scope and electrical tape around the barrel. Sure enough my brother jumped an 8 point and got off one shot as it went over into a deep ravine. He got to within about 15' of it and it was still kicking a little so he shot it two more times and that was all the bullets he had. By the time he walked around and got to the buck it was dead. Once they hung it up to clean it; it didn't have any gun shot wounds. Come to find out it got his antlers stuck in some vines when it jumped into the ravine and broke his neck.

not sure what the best way to handle them is but they shouldnt be on tv and gettn married and raisin kids

Pigeon with a brick - dropped off new construction wall

Sparrow with staple gun - working in a furniture factory and got tired of them crapping all over everything. One stayed around long enough for me to pull the safety back on the air gun and let a 2 1/2 inch long heavy wire staple fly. I don't think there were any feathers left on it, they went everywhere!

I thumped a parrot I the head after it bit me, killed him dead as a hammer. It was my wife's grandmothers and no one was there but me, I left it in the cage and they found it later after I had been gone. They asked if I noticed it was dead when I was there and I said I hadn't noticed.

Canadian Goose with a BB gun

Some type of bird with a blowgun (this took some damn patience)

Saw a 1100lb momma cow killed with a claw hammer cause she wouldn't move

My all time favorite animal death was a big green turtle crossing the road. Fully loaded dump truck, turtle running towards freedom and then a red mist (literally) grin

When I was 8 years old I got off the bus after school one day and saw a critter in the field by the house. I wasn't even sure what it was, but I bravely went in the house and got my BB gun and started a stalk. It turned out to be a great horned owl. I slipped up behind him and kept shooting him in the head until he finally quit flopping. I guess he must have been really sick to be sitting in an open field at 3 pm.

I put him in a big sack and carried him to school the next day and let the science teacher keep him for the day, and most of the school saw him. I suspect there would be a different outcome for doing that today.

Goose with an abu Garcia combo. Bass fishing off the bank and the thing let me get about 5 ft from it before it ran out of some cat tails hissing and chasing me. Not sure if the worm weight or the rod itself did the trick. I left as soon as it flopped over scared to death of getting caught.

A cats head slammed in a truck door will make a mess.
A guy that worked in a family members slaughter house killed cows with a ball pin hammer, with ease. I put several rounds of 270 in the head of a cow that broke her leg, the whole time thinking how the heck did he do it with a hammer. I still dont know where the sweet spot is.

Playing golf with my dad and grandpa, grandpa hits an errant shot into a tree, bird falls dead out the tree, papa says "well put my down for a birdie." I'll never forget how much I laughed at that.

Late one night my ex wife jumped in the bed with her phone showing me a picture. We were doing some remodeling and I was in the process of removing paneling from our living room walls. The trim had already been taken down leaving a crack in the corner between living room and kitchen. The picture showed a very long tail sticking out of that crack. Turned out it was a giant rat. I hopped out of bed, grabbed a pair of pliers to grab the tail and a screwdriver to pop the paneling loose. I grabbed the tail right at the base and when I pulled the rat out of the wall he started trying to bite me. I yelled at her to grab the kitchen garbage can to throw the rat in. She dumped the garbage in the floor and ran the can to me. I dropped that huge rat in but he was jumping and was almost getting to the top of the can so I started swinging the screwdriver at him when he jumped. About the third swing I knocked the whole side out of the can and the rat got out and ran under the couch and then behind some boxes we had stacked in the corner. At the time we had a pet ferret and I had read they were good mousers. This was no mouse but I figured I would see if she could flush him out of the boxes. Turned that ferret loose on the fresh trail and she went straight in and the fight commenced! Rat and ferrets scream alot alike so I couldn't really tell who was winning till the ferret can slinking out and RAN back to her cage. I knew I had to kill the rat before it got away and crawled in my bed one night or something. I told the wife to bring one of the boys BB gun to me and she brought me a red ryder with about 3 BB's in it. I was leaning over trying to see the rat while she cocked the gun and handed it to me. I fired but it was only air. That half grown possum looked at me like he was gonna eat me. The wife was trying to help but she was scared and was no boy who knew you have to cock those guns a certain way when you get low on BB's. I finally got the rat cornered and told her to just bring me a big knife. She brings one of the big Ginsu knives with the forked tip. I stabbed that rat right through the back and he was screaming like a banshee. I finally finished him off with 4 or 5 blows to the head with a hammer handle. The whole time this had been going on I was in my tidy whities and she took my picture standing on the front porch with the knife still stuck in the rat. Should have had the dang thing mounted, it was the most exciting hunt I ever had for sure. He was a Boone and Crockett rat too. The funniest thing about the whole deal was that after it was all over the wife said she was so scared she was about to throw up the whole time it was going on.

22 pistol hit a flying wood duck from my truck window one day. Catfish under a feeder with same 22 pistol, I was trigger happy that day
