Anyone that hunts here saw much buck activity? I haven't had a good buck on camera since first wk of dec.

I'm just praying that they hold off 2-3 more weeks until their normal timeframe because I won't be able to hunt until the end of Jan. I have been hunting Crenshaw county for 9 years and it's been MLK day through he first week of February every year with the peak being the end of Jan.

I'm north of highway 10 on the Crenshaw/Butler line. My brother saw 23 yesterday afternoon and right at dark one came out and nudged a few of them around but he said it was too dark for him to tell how big he was. I only saw 4 does this evening but that was it. They'll start roaming more anytime now bar_7mag don't get discouraged. Like highland said King/Lee day through the end of season is the time to be in the woods as much as possible.

I'm seeing a lot of scrapes, and getting mature bucks on camera closer to daylight. I'm still getting pictures of some bucks together though.

Definitely was an active weekend probably more related to the weather than rut. Shot a nice 8pt on property and his tarsal glands were not real juicy yet. Brantley Deer processor went from having no deer to being overflowing by Sunday afternoon. A lot of does but a few bucks. Hope this warm streak doesn't mess things up.
