I got one I use in my AR 10, I use 45.9 gr IMR 4064 behind 168 gr Hornady bthp without cannalure seated out as far as I can (so I can just fit it in the mag). Works great for me out of a 20 in barrel. I shoot around .7 or better at 100 and it stays tight out to 500. And I shoot steel plates at 800.

Of course, use at your own risk...

Varget will be your friend. Somewhere around 44-46gr with 150gr.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I can't get varget anywhere local here, at least not at a fairly reasonable price
What kind of shooting are you gonna be doing? Also what length barrel?

18 inch barrel. I mostly load for bolt action, or single shots. Just need a starting point for the AR. Thanks.

For long range I like the 168gr bullets because they're not as affected by wind as lighter, but they don't slow down as fast as the heavier bullets. Varget is great if you can get it, but it's hard for me to find local, and I don't want to spend 15 dollars extra on shipping to order online. That's why I use 4064...

I tested some loads today in my dpms ar10

168gr and imr4895 worked well together.

150gr fmj and benchmark worked well together.

Look at Viht N133 and 530. 18 incher would be good with those Vihtavouris.
