Anyone else doing this? I'm looking for any tips that work for you, foods or recipes that you like, and any general help.

I'm 6'3" and started out at 325. I've been on it since Dec 1 and lost 25 so far. I would like to be around 260 or 270. I'm doing good so far, but trying to avoid getting burned out on it.

Zoodle cutter can turn zucchini into pretty good "pasta", and throw some cauliflower on a food processor then sauté with a little salted butter for "rice."

Almonds and jerky make great low carb snack.

I've done it and it works, but I'm too lazy to plan actual meals. I tend to eat the same things at my work cafeteria every day and at restaurants I get wings or salmon. I usually eat boiled egg whites and bacon for breakfast, half a smoked chicken with broccoli or side salad for lunch, and some fish and vegetable of some type at dinner. I'm not super strict on sauces like ketchup or salad dressing or BBQ sauce. And Sunday is a cheat day...We eat out after church whatever we want and eat ice cream in the afternoon. Usually not hungry for dinner. Snack on almonds and slim Jim's or jerky. I lost 35 lbs in about 12 weeks. Just drinking water only reduces my daily calorie intake by a bunch.

For sweets peanut butter is hard to beat. Add it to a few slices of apples or mix it with cocoa or sugar free jello. A rotissere chicken at wally world is a good for a quick meal. Ill get on a kick for a few months a year doing it. I could live off of meats, cheese and a small limit of fresh vegetables.

Read up a little on soybeans. It's probably not good for a male to consume lots of them.

Don't just rely on reduced carbs. Exercise is a must. Drink lots of water. Remember the more muscle the more fat and calories your body will burn.

A tablespoon of peanut butter a day is ok, but most people go overboard on it. Almond flour is your friend. With it you can make biscuits with only 3 grams of carbs smile

Depends on what your over all goal is. Yeah I know you said you'd like to loose some more but what I mean is Do you want to keep the weight/excess fat off your body, build muscle, lean out, tone up a bit, be in over all good health and not live on yo yo dieting the rest of your life?

I did low carb a few years back, and lost around 50 lbs, and it was fairly easy to stick to the diet. The problem was that I put the weight right back on. I just couldn't regulate myself to a maintenance mode. I was either eating no carbs or too many.

I've lost 52lbs since July 10 of this past year. Just cut out all the junk & processed foods, eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full, and get in 30 minutes of cardio a day and you'll be good to go. I did cut out potatoes but will eat pasta & bread OCCASIONALLY. NO sweets. My wife has also lost 30lbs doing this same thing. It's really been kind of fun and a nice challenge. My goal is 3 more lbs!

I've been on "low carb" for 2 years. Yeas it works, yes it sucks. Learn how to eat normal and stop. That's it. If you put in less than you put out, you're good to go. Not rocket science.

I use my fitness pal to track my macros. Once I figured out how many grams of carbs, protein, and fat I needed it was easy. I can usually eat what I want as long as I eat clean and stick to my macros. Like any other diet you have to stick with it or the weight will come back. It does help that a I have 1-2 cheat meals per week so I don't get burnt out.

I've done well with being strict on completely eliminating sweets and breads, and moderately strict on other carbs like rice and pasta etc. basically if I know I'm about to eat something with carbs in it I just ratchet down on portions which is very hard. Complete carb elimination seems weird to me. Plus I'm trying to eat in a manner I can sustain from here on out. I'm scared I will loose weight on an oddball diet and then fail to keep it off.

Good luck to you!

We tried the cauli-rice. It's not my favorite, but like rice, it takes on the flavor of what you cook it with like soy sauce and onions.

Also, there is a mix called CarbQuick which is used like Bisquick to make low carb breads or biscuits.

I've been on the no sugar low carb since August and lost 65lbs. I still throw in my mashed taters ands beans once a week, occasional piece of candy. But basically meet cheese and eggs. Seasoned bakes brussel and green beans. I make a cauliflower like tater dish that's awesome, basically the carbs multiply 4times and that's you're sugar intake, small workout every night and I'm good.

My wife's been doing the Paleo diet since June and has lost 80 lbs. Just do some kinda exercise to supplement. She made cauliflower tortillas from a recipe online that were awesome, as well as cauliflower pizzaa, which is basically made on cauliflower tortillas. I wasn't too thrilled at first but I tried it and it was great. And I can't stand cauliflower
