Ain't seen nothing to make me think that it's "on", as of right now, in my neck of the woods anyways.

Good activity in central Jackson latter part of last week. Had a buddy see one breed Thursday. Should be good when this rain breaks and it gets cold.

A week or so ago I took off for this upcoming Thursday and Friday. I'm gonna try to hunt hard Thursday-Sunday.
We've had minimal activity with a few young bucks bugging some does according to one of our texting cameras. You're off work the 2 coldest days of the year!?!!!!! Dead beat.

1 full grown un killed Thursday and 2 Friday in central Jackson that I know of. Primary breeding should be winding down. This means bucks should be on the move looking for does , but still in their core areas and home ranges. Good time to get a dandy.

LOL!
When does the rut typically occur in North-West Jackson county? I get mixed answers plus the guy that runs the club I'm in says that it hadn't even started and it shifts from year to year.
I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin Life really is awesome ... Soak it up while you can ...

Upper PRV should be about same as central Jackson, least was when I hunted there. The rut won't make noticeable shifts from one year to the next , then shift back. I'll bet $ the farmers and other locals see fawns hit the ground same time every year.
