Kershaw Launch 1. I have been carrying it most everyday for a year. Very light, sharp and has never malfunctioned.

haleyville al,
Benchmade. Had it 3yrs. Love it. Only issue I've had I forgot to lock the blade one time. Opened in my pocket. Just make sure you lock an auto blade. Smokey mountain knife works has them.

I got a Benchmade auto and love it. Get a full auto, not an assist. You'll love it!

I carry Boker Kalishnicoff

I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

How much you wanting to spend? I carry the zt-566 which is only $130 or so but wish I owned a Paul Lusk,Chris Reeve or Medford .They can vary from 300-1500

I was really surprised at the amount of custom knife makers out there. Check out knife traders on fb. A lot of good knives for sale on there.

I thought switchblades were illegal for us common citizens.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I have a Benchmade 2550 Mini-Reflex Auto smoothblade, not serrated. I recently broke the tip on mine (yes, I was prying with it like a dummy) and they replaced the blade at my expense. ($30, I think it was.) They WILL NOT ship a replacement blade to you. They WILL NOT ship an auto knife directly to a civilian, even one you already own.

Here's the legal conditions most big name manufacturers WILL NOT violate on auto knives:
https://www.benchmade.com/media/forms/ako_acknowledgment.pdf

Benchmade did, however agree to ship it back to the dealer I purchased it from in my name after repair, and the dealer simply called me to come get it. The dealer balked a little at first because they no longer sell Benchmade, but I reminded them they had sold it to me in the first place, and I would be sure and get the word out that they didn't stand behind their sales or products.

If you just HAVE to have a serrated edge, ( I can't think of a use for me personally) just know sharpening them is a pain, but Benchmade will sharpen them free for life, just pay shipping, with the above form signed each time. They ought to, the knives run a couple hundred bucks or thereabouts, depending on model.

Benchmade is the old Balisong Company for you old farts that remember.

I have several knives that I have gotten off of bladeplay.com. The best one is the Kalasynkov I think that's how it is spelled. Its about 40 dollars and is the best I have had. Well made I have had it for 6-8 years.

What advantage does a full auto offer over an assisted?

To me it would seem to be a down side as some states auto knives are regulated but assisted is fine.

Like CD, I also have a Benchmade 585 MiniBarrage that I have been pleased with.

Most guys just like the "cool" factor, I guess. Some guys just simply need a one handed folding knife in their work that you don't have to dither with while holding something with your other hand.

My cop buddies, most of them, say as long as you ain't some gangbanger showing out, they really don't give a rip.
