A very light weight climber that is comfortable enough to sit in all day? If so, what do you recommend?

API grand slam , comfy but not lite. Ole man is also pretty comfy.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I will be walking a long distance and sitting all day. Definitely don't want a stand that's real heavy

What do you consider lite? I think the Summit Viper SD is about your best option. It is around 21 lbs. There are some stands down around the 15-16lb range but most don't have a complete cushion seat or a complete rail that goes around you. Personally I'd rather carry 5 lbs more and have a stand thats comfortable and compared to what stands have weighed in the past 21lbs isn't bad.

My viper isn't that heavy and I can sit in a long time and be comfortable. All depends on what you consider heavy

I am thinking the 20# mark is where I want/need to be

I can't sit in anything all day but I'm pretty comfortable in my summit for long sits.

I concur with this word for word. I hope we aren't coming across as the know-it-all types (seems like everybody always has an answer to the questios you aren't really asking laugh )
Having a full wrap rail and shooting rest is non-negotiable to me, so I gave up on trying to find the 15-20 pound stand...they just don't have the full features I desire. I carry an older API Grand Slam Shooting Star with the adjustable shooting rest, I'm guessing it's in the 24# range, and I tote that sucker waaaaaay too far many days, but once I'm in that tree, it was absolutely worth it. And I'm only 5-11 and 180lbs, plus I'll have a 20# pack around my neck and my weapon.

I use a tree walker on public land and I go way back away from everybody. It's probably not the lightest or heaviest stand but it's comfortable as hell.

I have been using a Summit Goliath for several years. A lot lighter than others that I have used with plenty of room and comfort for the all day sit.

Check out timbertall stands. Small company that makes ultralight stands. I've got a baby lite that weighs 12 lbs without mods. Now the seat on it wasn't comfortable so I added a summit style seat to it but it's super light and overall comfortable. I've made quite a few all day sits in it. I also have a treewalker; the walker is overall more comfortable but the timbertall is much lighter and easy to pack for long distances.
