I think this season is officially a bust for us, the food plots just haven't responded to the rain like we needed and the does just aren't showing up like years past. The deer are going into the rut here where I hunt and the bucks are out looking just not much on our property. Only had one doe out at my somewhat of a food plot, and 2 young bucks showed up separately later on, neither one ate anything, just passed through.

Slow and steady wins the race.
I hope.
It's always slow for us and then someone manages to kill a sho-enuff goodun and then all hope is restored. I'm hoping that I'm the one restoring hope this weekend!

Our green fields are just starting to grow, but we have only had three deer on camera this year. Maybe the rut will bring some more around.

Had a great start up until first week of December but not because of the deer more so because of my younguns and work schedule.
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

I've seen more deer on public land than I have on my two small private places I have to hunt. I would call my public land season so far a success.... private land is TBD. I've got a good buck on camera that is a regular, I just hope I'm there when he decides to move in the daylight.

I have one field that we usually see 20-30 deer in per afternoon sit. I have never sat there in about 25 years of hunting there and not seen at least one deer. Well it happened Saturday. We had 5 people in the woods for 4 days and saw a total of 21 deer in 40 sits. On the other hand it's been the best year ever on my Lee co. place but it's never had food plots only natural browse

Been pretty good hunting public land seeing does. My property one of the worst years ever. Plenty on cam just won't cooperate while hunting.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Ehhh not so good. I hunt 90% public land and this year the deer keep being in the spot I hunted last time. It's a back and forth game. Plus got some other hunters that swear they hunted this field last year yet I hunted it twice a week last year and never one saw them. Maybe by end of season i'll at least kill one hahaha
