Question: I've got a 2015 4x4 4Runner that I want to level the front end on so I can add a little bigger rubber under. I talked to a shop that suggested going with adjustable bilstein struts. They quoted $634.00 to swap struts and do a front end alignment. That seemed awful high. What do y'all think?

You ever put on a strut? Nope. I know it's a pain if you don't have the stuff to do it. I expected it to be a little pricey. Just not that pricey.

I really don't think that's too high, but I don't work on passenger cars everyday, so....
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

The adjustable Bilstein's are the way to go. However, if that $634.00 is labor only including alignment , no parts, it's too high.

2Dogs typed faster than me.
That include the Bilsteins or did you buy them separately? I bought a pair for my truck and I think they were close to $280 for the pair. My truck is leveled with a spacer, but I wanted to get rid of the spacer and just go with the Bilsteins. I haven't got a quote on how much it will cost though but I figure getting the spacer removed will cost me additional money.

He's now working at Harbin Ford in Scottsboro. Not for sure if he's doing lifts and such there but worth a call. He did two Tacoma's for me, one with spacers, one with Billys.

That's parts, labor, alignment, everything out the door.

All the 4runners I had were higher in the front. They must be different now...

All the 4runners I had were higher in the front. They must be different now... My '96 rides low in the back.. ive looked at doing a lift and a good one is $$$ good thing about the adjustable coils is you can adjust it for heavy bumpers, winch etc

I put some 2.5" diameter adjustable height bilstein 6112s with bilstein coils in the front of my land cruiser. I've been very happy with them. I have a steel bumper and 12k winch up front, so that helps soften them out a tad, too. I put a pair of 2" 5100 bilstein shocks in the rear with a set of Firestone Air Bags so I can adjust the rear height and load capacity for towing my boat. Love this setup. I think I paid $600 for the front parts, about $250 for the rear parts. I had the fronts broken down and the new bilsteins along with the rear shocks installed at Toyota for under $200. I did the air bags myself. I've done plenty of front Toyota suspensions myself, but I'm getting too old to spend that much time messing around with it in my garage. It's a whole lot easier to swipe the card and make more money than for me to bust my knuckles saving a few bucks. Depending on if you're getting 2" or 2.5" shocks, and if you're getting new springs will change my opinion of that price. Here's a similar setup for your 4runner. linkyIf you're getting just the front shocks done and everything else is your OEM parts, then here's a link for some 2.5" 5100 series Bilsteins for $239 delivered. Installation should be around $100 at a front end shop and maybe $150 at Toyota dealer. Going this route should be under $400 total. What tires are you looking at? Sure you even need a lift? I didn't, but I wanted one anyway. I needed more spring rate for the front to support the bumper and winch, too. I went with 275/70/18 Goodyear Duratracs. So far (a year), so good. Video my son took a while back. Incline is about 38-40° on a red clay washout. https://www.instagram.com/p/BLo7iYRj8OpUjShPi3swG_HEcEvMnRT0k122nE0/
