I have a pair of sunglasses that i split in half and broke the right arm thingy off that goes on your ear, is it worth it to send them in and have repaired or just buy another pair? Ive never dealt with their warranty dept? TIA

Yes. Send them in. I just got three pair back in the mail. 1 for me and 2 for Mrs.

It's been worth it to me. I have 3 pair of the Tripletails, and even if you have to pay, it's WAY cheaper than just buying them again new.

Wear and tear is gonna happen if you live in 'em like a lot of us.

Even a free warranty repair is about $11.00 for the handling charge.

Customer service has been great and speedy for me.

You just gotta ignore the friends telling you to buy El Cheapos.

I've sent 3 different pair in. 2 pair they charged me $11 each to replace/repair, the other pair cost me like 40 bucks.

They don't have a warranty that I've seen.

I sent off a pair at the beginning of the summer. They no longer had the same color fame I had and offered me any pair I wanted for $10. Which was an awesome deal. However, I waited 4 1/2 months on my glasses. Can't complain too much. Just be prepared to have a backup for a little while.

4 1/2 months? It never took more then 2 weeks on the whole process for me. At least that's the way I remember it.

I have had them replace a couple of pairs over the years when they broke. Never paid for anything other than shopping cost.

Yep, send em in. Worst case, you end up with a new pair at a deeply discounted price

I don't know what you mean by that. Did they not honor the warranty for you?

I just got a pair back a couple weeks ago. I sat on them during a work day. Ended up paying $63 for a brand new pair. Way better than $263.

Sent my tortoise shell fantail in early September because the rubber on the bottom had come loose. End of September, I get an email saying they're on backorder. I call and raise hell because the email didn't go into any detail. The girl I talked to told me the end of October. I told her I wasn't willing to wait that long. She told me for around $12 dollars, they would send me any replacement pair I liked, at any price. Got the Tuna Alley, for the same price of my faintail. I sent my case in for protection of my original repair, but they didn't send one with my new sunglasses. I emailed, and the girl sent a case and threw in a lanyard as well. All of this was going on when a hurricane was affecting the area Costa is located in.
In one sense, for the price of the sunglasses, they should last for more than two years, but they did honor their warranty.
