I just got back from SW Kansas, which is my absolute favorite place to bowhunt. Unfortunately, this hunt was pretty tough. Just about everything was stacked against me during this trip - full moon, 90 degree weather, high winds, severe drought, broke up deer, you name it. I passed a mature 8 point early in the trip and only saw a couple of giants but they were both out of range. Even with the tough conditions, I managed to fill my tag with a P&Y deer on the last day. Please excuse the quality of the footage, I self filmed everything you see in this video.

I hope everybody is having a great season!

Great hunt, deer and harvest. Kansas has always had some nice bucks out there. You just have to get out of the red clay areas where the free ranging deer can get those minerals and gene pool.

Great job!

Good job. Looks good. Good video.

Nice video and deer!

Most people don't realize how difficult bow hunting and shooting a deer on video is, let alone the magnitude of doing it all by oneself.

Thanks for sharing.

Congrats on the success!

God Bless,
David B.

Awesome. Major bonus points on the self filmed hunt. I've always wanted to do that.

Wicked cool man. I could never film my own hunt. I shake so bad when a deer is near I am lucky to settle down enough to shot.
