It does it to me also. For whatever reason a rutted buck does the worst to me. Mainly itchy eyes, sneezing, runny nose. A shower usually clears it up. It hasn't stopped me though. Mine started 10-15yrs ago. Who knows why

Been dealing with it for 30 years. Go buy several boxes of surgical gloves and keep them EVERYWHERE!!! In the truck, in the pockets of all your hunting close, at the club house, everywhere. Put them on before you ever touch the deer. Not to mention it's much easier clean up by just removing the gloves and tossing in the trash.
If I don't do this it gets bad quick. Itchy, running, burning eyes that swell shut. Sneezing, coughing, you name it...Last time it took 2 rounds of steroids to clean it up.

I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

Yep I got it to, I never had a problem till a friend of mine caught a fawn. We had it inside petting it and letting it play. My eyes got to itching and in a few minutes my buddy said man your eyes look bad. I wear contacts and the fluid under the skin of your eye had doubled and it looked like my eyes wear about to pop. It freaked me out. I jumped in the truck and hauled arse a few miles to my mom's house. I pulled out my contacts and the look of my eyes scared the hell out of me. I told my mom to get me to the ER. Now the funny/scary part my mom is not so great at driving. So hear we go to the ER we are on a four lane road. She is in the fast lane doing about 80 or so. The road is also make a long sweeping left hand turn. Now she coming up on a car in front of her. I'm setting in the front passenger seat and she swaps lanes into the slow lane to pass the car. I can tell right away thru my blurry eyes that she has turned the wheel way to much (left hand sweeping turn) to the right to pass this car and stay on the road. I grab the wheel of the car from her and we drift slide as we come around that car. I then begin to cuss and tell mom hell I'd rather be blind than dead to slow the hell down if she can't drive that fast. Funny now but not so much that day.

I don't have issues, and honestly never thought about it. Being a new hunter, thanks for this thread.

If I ever kill one, it sounds like a perfect reason to get someone to gut, skin, and de-bone the long eared irritant for me.
