Any of y'all stayed here in the winter months? I'm gonna be getting married next December and Jackson Hole is a potential honeymoon spot. I went to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone back in high school for 13 days, but we went in June and we drove out there. I have always wanted to go back to Jackson Hole and the tetons and especially in the winter time. I feel like it would be a beautiful trip that time of year. Do any of y'all have any suggestions on where to stay? Neither of us are into skiing very much, but would love to do some snow mobiling, dog sledding, sleigh rides, and just touring the area. Any help is appreciated. I've just started researching today, but would love some help.

I've never been to Jackson hole. But I have been to Tahoe California and Yosemite both are breath taking. Tahoe has really good sking. I've also been to flagstaff Arizona and it's beautiful as well.

I have spent time in Jackson in the summer fall and winter. Each has its on beauty for sure. Shouldn't be hard to find a place and there is plenty to do in the winter

I've been there snow skiing a couple of times. Absolutely gorgeous little town. Huge antler arches at the corners of the town square there.

Research June weddings. December is hunting season. She may as well learn that from the get go. You're teaching her wrong, right off the bat. grin

Seriously though, congrats and Jackson Hole sounds like and excellent choice. Never been there, but one of these days...

Got a cousin that lives in Jackson Hole. Never been there but want to go. Judging by the pictures and videos I've gotten from her it's absolutely gorgeous.

You and your Bride go learn how to snow ski. Pass it on to your kids. Thank me later.

I've been twice during the winter and it was great. The first time we rented a condo at spring creek ranch and the second time we stayed at a hotel in town. Don't have any complaints on either one, the hotel was just some chain hotel I'll try to find out which one it was. We went skiing, snowmobiling and just sight seeing. There is an elk refuge where u can ride on a horse drawn sleigh and get within a few yards of elk of all sizes. The last trip we stayed in Jackson hole then drove through the Tetons and took a snow coach into Yellowstone and stayed the night at old faithful lodge I think it was called. We did a snowmobile tour through Yellowstone and i highly recommend that.

Went there in June; if you are not skiing and want to stay close to town, we stayed at The Rustic Inn. Highly recommend; pricey but everything I JH is like that. Be a very nice location for a special occasion. AWESOME breakfast buffet.

Also recommend Bin 22 for dinner; try the octopus. (no kidding) or anything there for that matter.

My wife and I went a few years back. We stayed at the Wyoming Inn. It was decent enough. My favorite restaurant was The Gun Barrel.

We did the snow mobile trip through Yellowstone, toured the elk refuge, did some skiing. We enjoyed it, but not what I would recommend as a honeymoon trip.

Definitely an enjoyable vacation, but for a young couple honeymoon I'd probably go to one of the "all inclusive" in the Carribean or in Mexico.

2nd the Rustic Inn those little cabins were nice. Last time we stayed in a condo at snow king and it was awesome as well. Gun Barrel mentioned above was great and you also have to try the Blue Lion Restaurant.

Definitely do the snowmobile trips but i vote against the Yellowstone trip. It is boring because all you do is ride the road, do one of the trips that goes somewhere else so you get to trail ride. Take a snow coach to Yellowstone that way you can actually pay attention and look a the scenery instead of focusing on driving a snowmobile.

Two of my favorite places. I've backpacked Yosemite and snowboarded all around Tahoe. Heavenly and NorthStar are great places at Tahoe.

Appreciate all of the responses guys. I have been looking very hard at the Rustic Inn and also the wort. I'm just not a beach person and it doesn't feel right going to the tropical location around Christmas. I love mountains and the outdoors and she loves the holidays. We haven't fully decided but I've been dying to go back to Wyoming and would love it in the winter time.

Definitely do the sleigh ride through the elk refuge if its open then (1 mile north of Jackson on hwy287). You'll see more bull elk there than you will in 10 years of elk hunting. They'll be close too.

The Cowboy Village is a nice place to stay. Little cabins couple of blocks from the square. The others were right, the snowmobile trip through Yellowstone is amazing, but can be boring.. single file line down the road. Elk Refuge, a must.. At Teton Village, they do a dinner in a cabin up in the mountains. Not sure what it was called to book it, but I imagine a quick google search will help. Make sure you walk around town a day or so before attempting to ski or anything. Get acclimated to the altitude first. Made that mistake once... won't EVER happen again.
