]Photobucket Got my first velvet buck which was also my first bow buck. He was a 150lb cull buck that I was glad to get out of the herd. 10am. Montgomery county. This was my first bow kill in about 20 years (haven't had much time to bow hunt in a long time!)

just curious, did his balls appear normal ? Usually velvet this late is due to a ball injury or missing one from birth.

Everything was normal. I was shocked as well. When I shot him I thought he had dark horns, never imagined velvet. We do have a buck that never sheds his velvet but I've only seen him on trail cams.

Great trophy. thumbup

Sometimes when a buck has velvet this late it has some sort of injury, maybe around the jewels. Did you notice anything..??
