The Peddler for food and check out Cades Cove if you have a day. Good drive out there, but it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. And there are deer everywhere. Safe travels and have a great time.

Breakfast: A lot of folks will say Pancake Pantry but to me it's as overrated as Dan Mullen and stuffed crust pizza. Go to Log Cabin pancake house instead, about a block up the hill from the space needle. It dominates pancake pantry.
As far as attractions, we spend probably 95% of the daytime in the park. GSMNP is truly one of my favorite places on earth.

If you are leaving next Monday and you are going to be there through the next weekend, get as much done as you can before Thursday. UT Alabama is October 15 and it will be slammed packed up there starting Thursday.
Best Breakfast is Crockett's. Best Mexican is El Loco Buro. Best Italian is Best Italian. Best Steak is the Peddler. Best Burger is The Smokey Mountain Brewery.
Alamo, Cherokee Grill, No Way Jose's are all pretty good places to eat too. You haven't been to Gatlinburg before have you?

Whats happen to the deer at Cades Cove went the last few years the week after thanksgiving see very few deer there 8 or 10 at the most 7 or 8 years ago you would always see 50 to 100 . I'll be in Cades Cove tomorrow morning at daybreak, so I'll post some pics tomorrow after we get back and I've got wifi. I'm hoping to see a lot of deer.
