The advantge is it is a blend so 1) The different seeds mature at different times, so there is always fresh browse. 2) a 50 lb bag covers an acre. We also add Triticale and turnips to fields that get eat down. They do not hit the turnips till after a really good frost. Below is a test plot. I wish I had taken a photo in January. This was in November, but you can see the Deer Magnet was mowed down in the background. The turnips got leveled after the first big frost.
