Dphillips OP spike Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 45 Daphne, Al	So I've got my new scope ordered, Leupold VX-3 4.5x-14x 50mm. Now I'm looking for suggestions on what rifle to put it on. I want a 308 & looking to spend $700-$1000, I've always had Remington but looking for more suggestions.

Squadron77 10 point S Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 2,445 Highland Home, Al	You may want to look at some of the new rifles with threaded barrels so you can use a suppressor for hunting. Remington, Savage, Ruger and even Mossberg make very good long range rifles for hunting with the threaded barrel.

Sweet shooting rifle and feels very well balanced. 1/2"@ 100. Can't argue with that! Or, of course, I have a Tikka with laminated stock in stainless and i love it!
