I've been told that the saying is actually " eat your cake and have it too" due to the fact that you can have your cake and then you can eat it but not visa versa. Probably the most misquoted saying there is.

NO the REAL crime is he put a gun in your face and robbed you! This is a perfect example of people being taught that you don't have to take responsibility for your own actions because it's outside influences that have made you the way you are. I tell my kids all the time, I don't care whose fault it is. I want to know what YOU are doing to fix the problem. The blame game never gets good results.
