I had a buddy bury a treble in my eyebrow once. I had to hold the skin tight while he used pliers to wiggle it out. I'm just glad he didn't catch my eyeball and cast it across the lake. The dude was power casting and it nearly threw me out of the boat.

I have jerked them out and pushed them through. If at all possible I prefer to push them through and cut it off

It is amazing how tough one can be to push through. I never knew how tough skin really was until I watched someone push a hook through their finger.

Been there done that. Hope like hell it never happens again, but I know it's only a matter of time.

I put a 5/0 1 oz jig in my bird finger one time when I was pitching. I got my dad to push it through. I honestly didn't think it was going to come through. He said he was pushing as hard as he could.

A serious pair of pliers helps when pushing one through.
