Does she have a sister? My wife may throw me out half way through deer season and I need some options. Lord knows she deserves better than me and when she figures it out i can guaran-damn-tee I will be out on my ass!
I shoot probably as many bows as anyone on here that aint working in an archery shop and I am telling you...
The Mathews Halon is the best bow I have ever shot. Every hardcore archery guy I know that has shot my bow has said the same thing, and many of those guys are pro-staff for other bow companies...

Pretty low end but it was my first bow (only 1.5 years old). Haven't killed a deer with a bow yet, so justifying buying a new bow may be hard....but dang....thats a good deal.

There is no best bow on the market....you gotta shoot a bunch of them and see what you like best. I too favor the obsession bows.... because they are the best.

There is no best bow on the market....you gotta shoot a bunch of them and see what you like best. I too favor the obsession bows.... because they are the best. it is amazing how 5 people can be 100% convinced that one is far and away better than the others. Not dissimilar to golf clubs. It truly is whatever fit you and helps you perform the best. Also, both need to be custom fitted by a professional to maximize performance.

Go to a good bow shop that sells several brands and shoot them all and decide for yourself.

I bought an HTR last year for a heck of a deal. I shot the Halon and HTX too. The HTR shot the best to me personally. I really liked the smooth draw, and it was very quite. Plus the price tag was just too good to pass up
