Me and some buddies are going to joe wheeler this evening and tomorrow. I haven't been to wheeler in a good while. Any tips on what's good to use this time of year?

I'd probably go into the pockets on the lower end and look for some bedding fish, throw a buzzbait or swim jig shallow and work out to the points.

Caught 4 smallies and 6 large Sunday. Didn't throw first cast 'til about 10:30. Rigged the wife w/ drop shot and 4" baby bass senko wacky style. She caught 6 of 10. Only thing I could get 'em to hit was 5" senko watermelon w/red & black flake on pegged Texas rig. We fished rocks and bluffs between Lucy's Branch and mouth of Elk.
Live for today. Hope for tomorrow. Roll with the punches.
