Lots of clubs around there that are part of the old Thomas management area. I was in one about 6 or 8 yrs ago. Lots and lots of pine trees.

I'm thinking he means Franklin in north Monroe County. If it is, Franklin is nowhere near Holly Creek Road, which is in north Baldwin County. Probably 40-50 miles as the crow flies.

Have you tried Google?

Yes it is in Franklin Alabama and yes it is on holly creek rd. I also know of the holly creek you are referring to is. I launch my boat there every year also but these are two different places.

Whitetail Junction is the club name i just went and seen the property. It looks very promising it has a bunch of big oak bottoms and alot of great deer killed off the property last year.

If this is the club with dues around $600 and they change the club name every season, i would steer clear. A good friend of mine was in there for one season and he figured out pretty quick that the president is a crook. President kills WAY over his limit of Bucks every year and makes a good profit off of the club. I'll see if I can get him to sign on here and give you the low down. He did say it's a very nice piece of land though.

I personally don't understand why you would want that many members on one piece of land. Why not double the dues and get the numbers down? $1,200 is still very cheap.

That was my thought on the dues. I asked them about how much they paid a acre for the land verse members and of course the officer showing me the land didn't know the answer he said the president don't share that information. But they did say the land in Franklin didn't get hunted but by 10% of the members because of the very deep bottoms. He said most of the members hunted the vanderburgh property because it was more flat land.

Yep,do some searching on the web and you'll see several threads about this club and how it's ran, someone posted an add on Craigslist warning people about it,thought about joining it out of convienence and how cheap it is but I haven't heard anything good out of it so I'm gonna stay away from it

You were TOLD there is only 55 members. You were also told only 10% of the club hunts one part of it and you were TOLD the members hunt the FW land more than the club land.

You were also told ON HERE, by people who know, that it's a shady deal. You asked members here what they thought and NOBODY has come to the clubs defense. You're not listening. There was no point in asking. If they have 5000 acres and the dues are $5-600 there HAS TO BE a trainload of members. Land N of 84 doesn't lease that cheap.

$100 says you join, no matter what you hear. Double or nothing you don't join back next year.

We were told the exact same thing RobertD said as well several years back when we joined just to turkey hunt it. We weren't told that the Vrendenburgh piece has NO turkey rights though. We found that out right before turkey season when we went to scout. They run an ad year round in several publications looking for members so the turnover must be high. Be warned......

I have just about came to the conclusion if a club has to look for members I need to keep talking to people.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

I really appreciate everyone that has help me out here. I don't want to join a club like that. I am looking for a well manage club with a all year feeding program and only shoots mature Deer. If anyone has any club openings that match my description I am very interested in joining.

if everything I have heard about this club is true, I`m surprised they don`t have a few fist fights every season
