I am fairly new to turkey hunting and I am willing to hunt in the rain tomorrow if it is worth it. Any advice? Worth the trip or not?

x2 The wind is going to be up also, how will that effect the hunting?

The end of democracy and the defeat of the American revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed incorporation's Thomas Jefferson. 1812

Check fields. A lot of times they don't gobble much, but it's easy to find them. I love hunting in the rain

Had one gobbling this afternoon to my calls and also thunder. Headed to where I thought he was but couldn't reconnect, got soaked. Have killed them in light drizzle which seems to affect them very little. Heavier rain check fields, roads, gasline , power lines. Good thing about hunting in the rain, they can't hear you moving. Bad thing...you can't hear them moving either .

The one thing I love about turkey hunting that's different from everything else I hunt...every single day of the year, at daylight or sometime after, he's going to fly down to the ground and walk around all day. There's no migrating, no nocturnal, no bedding down, etc etc. Does that mean I'll even see him, no. But there's always a chance.

Some do, some don't....what's it gonna be?

One of my best hunts was during a consistent light rain. For the majority of the time, hunting has a lot to do with timing, sort of like the rut during whitetails. If the rut is on and the temps and conditions are right, you best be in a stand or blind or just plain in the woods.
The same held true during my turkey hunt in the rain. The birds started to fire up two days prior and the temps remained warm. Even though the forecast called for rain, it was still warm and not windy.
That morning I sat against a tree and watched an absolute show of gobblers beating the snot out of my strutter decoy. After about 4 minutes and me not being able to take it anymore, I stoned a great bird. Didn't even call once during that hunt.
Anyways, I wouldn't shy away from some rain if other angles look good. Just my .02
