I think the flat billed caps we are talkimg about are the ones that are trying to emulate ghetto culture. I don't think someone like Snoop Dogg wears a flat bill because it keeps the sun out of his eyes. He does it because it is counter-cultural.

I remember my first day of formation after we were issued our BDU's at basic training. I did what any red blooded southern boy would do and bent the bill of my hat. While the drill sergeant was walking by us for inspection he stopped in front of me and asked. " where you from boy?" I said Alabama! He then snatched that hat off my head and started stomping on it yelling " this ain't no G$d damn John Deere hat and you ain't on the farm anymore! This hat and your ass belongs to the United States Army!" After I did twenty push ups I stood up and never bent the bill of that hat again. thats hilariious

Pick and choose your battles gentlemen. If the 8yo wants to wear a flat bill I ain't picking that one. To each his own. Good advice. I just happened to pick flat billed caps as a battle. Not even a battle, just a house rule. But I chose not to have issues with wearing caps backwards. Some have issues with that, but it doesn't bother me. Otherwise the only clothing rule is to wear appropriate clothing for the place you are and no inappropriate sayings on Tshirts.

Mine wore a flat billed and was the starting pitcher in 3 of 4 games today. It didn't seem to bother him guess I'm OK with it.
