I'm really wanting to buy a ceramic call and I am wondering who out there knows who makes a very good one.

I'd check this guy's stuff out - http://peckerwreckercalls.com/store/friction-calls ... I got one of his aluminum calls last year & it's excellent...

thumbup I've always never liked slick surface calls like ceramics & aluminum calls - until I tried his. He does something to the surfaces to make them a lot easier to call on - and I'm sold on the sound, too. He's got several vids on Facebook where he's running the calls.

You ain't gotta go to GA for a good ceramic JS! If your conditioning ceramic use nothing but a stone same with aluminum. Even if aluminum has been bead blasted that's fine yeah its gonna get a grip but the beauty of aluminum running at high level is getting that striker to slide! It's a happy medium I have run bead blasted only to smooth if out with my stone so the striker is smooth crossing it!

I've only found it in 3.5" pieces, well actually it's about 3.4". I never could build one that was worth selling so I gave up on it. I believe Lyle makes one.
