Strut there are always risks when taking any medication and especially hormones. The risk of prostate cancer is minimal and I would say a big part of that is family history, which you said you do not know. Most people do not realize it but tobacco is a major cause of prostate cancer as well. Once you start injections you will have to be on testosterone for the rest of your life. It is something to think about but not that big of a deal, many people do it. There is a natural supplement that for the life of me I cant think of right now that is very expensive. Diet and exercise can make a little difference although I would guess to say that without some type of supplement of testosterone you will never have a good normal range.

This or something of this nature may be an easy fix for you. I've heard of people getting B-12 shots and afterwards, feel like fighting tigers (energy wise.

B12 injections will temporary give you energy but this will do nothing for your testosterone. If he was feeling bad do to a B12 deficiency then it would do wonders

B Complex trust me those doctors just play guessing games. If you take one in the morning you won't even think about a mid day nap etc.

Round ‘bout there

I'd change my diet and lifestyle, start exercising more and do anything else possible with fervor before getting on testosterone unless it was absolutely the last resort.

I'd agree with IrishGuy about the HIIT training, too. I've done HIIT last summer for 8 weeks and just finished another round. Twice a week, one hour a morning, and it's been great. Sleeping better, feeling better, losing weight, stronger, and it's fun. It's like PE class on steroids. Once you get rolling it becomes motivation to do more.

At the end of 3 months I had my levels retested ... they are in the 750 range ...

There are some unfortunate consequences to having higher testosterone levels too. A couple of years ago my doc said mine was in the 800s...higher than he had ever measured.

Makes you check out every skirt that walks by...Not good if you are trying to keep your eyes on your own fries.

Anger easier.

Find out what's causing the problem. Then you can determine the treatment. Hitting the gym or a B vitamin isn't going to help everyone with low T.

I was diagnosed with prolactinais (sp). Prolatin is released by the pituitary gland and lowers your levels of testosterone. I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor (benign) which causes my prolatin levels to be high. My choices were taking a pill everyday for the rest of my life to suppress the prolactin...or take a shot every 2 weeks to increase my testosterone levels . At the moment, I take the shot. As for being worth it...YES.. For me, it gave me my relationship back with my wife. It gave me the motivation/desire to get off the couch and play with my kids. As for energy, it nots that it gave me energy...it gave me the motivation and desire that I had when I was younger. I wouldn't give it up for nothing. As for the side effects, my dr was adamant about using it properly. Other than loosing my hair, I don't have any sides affects and I go to the dr on a regular basis.

I too have low T. Last blood test I had said my level was 166. I am 35 years old. I will be the first to tell you that the shots are a life saver. Best thing I have ever done. I feel like a new man. But, let me tell you this. The doctor is going to want to put you on one shot every two weeks. DON"T DO IT!!!!! Try to get half the shot a week. Your levels will be like a rollercoaster if you do every two weeks. Great for about 10 days and you feel worse than before for the next 7. You have to try to keep you level stable until your next shot. The up and down effect will not be a good experience.

Notice you don't see the commercials for androgel anymore like you used to but lots of lawyer commercials filing class action for heart attacks/blood clots/ etc from use of supplements.
