Dead Lake unit. I have looked at the map on google earth it clearly shows a road going to it. is there a gate at the start of property you can park at or what is the deal??? would love some info looks really good to me. It would take 45-50 min off my trip to hunt there instead of driving all the way around to Belmont. thought about Turkey hunting it.

I have parked there in the past when I used to hunt it. Never had a problem. That being said, it is private owned land that you are parking on. I may have been just lucky.

X2... never know what you'll get parking on private land.

Yes. There is a gate on the line. I that's the only tract I ever killed turkey on. Actually used to hunt an elderly black man's land that joined it on the west. Killed several on his land as well. I've walked the dam site a couple of times and never got on a bird.

I hunted the pw hunt on the 22-24 Jan. Killed a deer, saw 7 more good hunt. We took boat hunted Daubs swamp love that unit its,best to me

I'm gonna at least go 2 Saturdays for turkey. Thought about army corps land on gainsville lake not much land,though but u can turkey hunt bow only with shotgun
