Charter and AT&T do not run out to my house so I have to use my cell provider, Verizon, and use my iPhone as a hotspot while at home to get internet. I'm fed up with data overages. I've slowly increased from 8 GB all the way to 15 GB and this month we still went over by 3 GB. I can hardly watch anything online. We don't "game." We don't do Netflix. I watch the occasional YouTube video and watched 20 minutes of the "my life as a turkey" documentary. Those companies really found a way to stick it to everyone when they did away with unlimited data.

I thought somebody was bringing back unlimited data...not sure who though. Might want to check that out.

Yep we have 30 gigs and run close on some months. I turn my home fusion off unless we need it. With my girls iPads turned off it still eats at the data with all their apps for school

My wife just combined our directv and att bills together and now have unlimited data. And cancelled my hughesnet. Hughesnet was a huge rip off. The catch with the unlimited data is the speed will start slowing after 24gigs is used.

We have the same provider and same problem. Our plan allows 40 gig/month and we were still going over. Last month, I dug into it and found we used 42 GB, but 25GB were used on 3 non-consecutive days. (17, 5, and 3). I have yet to figure out how we used 17GB in a day since our TV is not connected. The only thing we could figure is we must have left multiple devices running with programs open that were streaming video or ads. Since then, we make sure everything is shut off at night or when we're away from home. This month, we're running about .5 GB/day.

I have 22 gigs on my phone and still go over. If you have direct TV you get unlimited data if you switch to att. You can tether from your phone.

They kill you with overage. I got charter wifi and 30 gigs with Verizon and we run close some months. Son watches too much TV and videos online. Videos seem to eat it. He's 13 and dang sure ain't burning it on no school apps.

I'm bad about leaving a few different internet pages up thinking I want to go back and look at it or don't want it to log me out. Hopefully stopping that will help
