Hook's BBQ and the Schoolhouse are my favorites that I hit when I'm down that way.

Yeah, cold beer, oysters, mostly fried seafood, pretty good bowl of gumbo.

Anything from steaks to catfish to chicken fingers to fried shrimp. It's not a fresh seafood type place, but I like it. I usually get the sampler with fried catfish, fried shrimp, chicken fingers, and fries.

Half Shell is awesome. When I lived there I ate lunch there at least 3-4 days a week. They use to have some awesome buffalo chicken fingers too and a fantastic plate lunch. That was 15 years ago so their menu has likely changed.

Hooks Bar B Q is probably my favorite, just above Wal Mart. Chopped pork, tater salad and camp stew with white bread, pound cake and sweet tea.. You will like the cake so much you will want a whole one to go, just a little over $15 for one.

I forgot about Crowes. Their medium snack is hard to beat.

I was eating their the day the OJ verdict came over the radio. The place erupted in cheers. Not sure that I ever dined in again.
