I've got several ozark (walmart brand) lights that use 2 18650 batteries with a usb charging port. Great lights to keep in the truck. They are as bright as a Q-beam. I'm real proud of them.

But I prefer a regular old headlamp for the utility of using both hands. Keep one in every vehicle.

It's simply amazing and I've had goodluck with the rechargeable batteries but it also takes CR123A lithium batteries.

Best $30 I ever spent.

I have a couple of those. Very good for the money.

Save yourself some money and buy a duracell 1000 or 1300 from Costco. I think they are around $15. Uses four C batteries. Extremely bright light that is adjustable. Great for tracking and any other needs.

I agree the ones from Ebay and some from Amazon are great for the price...FIL has one thats like 1200-1500 Lumens and from the 17th floor balcony I could spot sharks swimming in the ocean at night last time we were there...

I really like the LED Lenser P7 flashlights like this:

These are a lot smaller in size compared to my Streamlight Stinger and they're much brighter. I'll never buy another Streamlight, as long as these are on the market!

You might look on Amazon at the Dorcy LED rechargeable 220 Lumens, number 41-4299. I have two of them and use them every day at work and hunting. One is three years old and the other is two. I cannot tell you the number of times I have dropped it off heavy equipment onto cement floors. I have had a sack full of Stream light and mag lite rechargeable over the years. These can be bought for less then $50 bucks.

I have 5 Dorcy LED flashlights that I bought probably 10 years ago on close out at Walmart for $2.50 each.

They are super bright and battery life is excellent.

IMO, if the case is made from machined aluminum and sealed with o-rings they are a decent light.

I buy flashlights like Trox buys Model 7's. I've got several.

The loser in the LED flashlight game is Mag Lite. They use to be the best of the best but they rested on their reputation and got left behind. I have one of their 3 D Cell LED lights and it's great but it's too heavy and too big compared to similar brightness flashlights

I'm shocked no one has mentioned the Ultrafire flashlight from EBay. They're really good. And cheap

Buy yourself a Nebo flashlight. I have had one for about 3 years now and had no trouble with them. The one I have is no longer made anymore (new model is) it is just as bright (to me) as any streamlight

I got a Coast headlamp two weeks ago and, along with my Rigid Halo 800, have used it for coon hunting. Fine headlamp IMO.

My son just last week purchased for me a G700 Tactical flashlight. Currently 75% off on military flashlightsale.com

This is the brightest flashlight I have ever owned.

I use one of the older Zebra SC50W I think is the model as my EDC light and it has been awesome for the last 3-4 years. The new ones are even better and I like the 90 degree head with a magnet glued to the end for working on things, it can also be converted to a headlamp which is nice.

I have also used the ITP A3 EOS and they are nice and take AAA and cheap

I get the ones at harbor frieght for $0.99. Pretty bright and batteries included. Great for walking to or from stand and just throw them away when batteries die. I'll probably get a Cree just in case I have to track a deer in the dark.

Surefire or Streamlight are solid lights.
I have offerings from both.

Like someone before mentioned the technology in flashlights is advancing very rapidly. Just a couple years ago 80 lumens in a Surefire 6P was high tech, now that is an absolute dinosaur.

As others have mentioned, Cree only manufacturers the LED inside the flashlight. So if you buy a $5.00 "Cree" flashlight from Harbor Freight, you still only have a $5.00 flashlight.

Cree does make excellent LED's, but they have to be installed in something durable to last.

Another vote for Streamlight, I have 2 with no complaints.
