Any ideas as to why the numbers are so low in that blue stretch from Tuscaloosa down through Chilton County and Autauga? Soil quality?

Most all of the red and blue would be gone north of Birmingham.

The most interesting change is the new red zone on the Jefferson/Shelby county line, where it was formerly blue.

I can tell you now that areas of North Marshall County do have more than 30 per square mile now days easily if the 15 acres I hunt in that area is constantly bringing in 8-10 does and 2-3 bucks on a 1/3 acre plot every evening lol

Based on other states and ours doing it from time to time...it's effective, and you don't think game wardens are joking when they say "You'd be surprised what we see when in the helicopter looking with thermal imagining" do you??

I can tell you where some of that red is in perry cnty needs to be blue. Cameras, tracks and sightings proved it this year.
