Just curius to see what you think about the rut. Is it over or just getting started. Was talking to another club member (past president) about it and we get into a disagreement about it

Seemed like it was over last weekend on my place. In laws were there this week and didn't see much either.

Did you have a period when you knew they were going at it? In north greene county, we haven't seen any chasing, and scrapes only started showing up about 3 weeks ago.

No and thats what I was trying to explane to him. We has folks seeing small bucks on their feet, nose to the ground and they were like its on. I said that it was a few weeks away and I think i'm right. We have seen chasing but it was all from small deer. We are not too far from Southfork right off the innerstate. I think the next two weeks statring with this cold are the rut.

Had chasing around Union last of December. Few small bucks on their feet since then but not much action. Not many does seen lately so I thought the bigger bucks may have had the ladies locked down the past few weeks. Scrapes were worked hard a few weeks ago and then barely touched lately. Who knows...

Second weekend of January the bucks were all over the place. Unfortunately I had to be out of town, I had a friend hunting my place just north of Boligee at the time and he saw several bucks and missed a nice one. The couple weeks before they young bucks were pushing hard. Last weekend we saw a few does and that was it. No chasing

1st rut is likely over, another round should start up next week

Our lease is in northern Greene as well and we have seen very little chasing and have been seeing quite a few does. It seems a defined rut hasn't taken place this year but this is our first year on our lease. We are seeing more scrapes in places now so we expect to see bucks on their feet well into February. Our neighboring club I believe feels the same.

Buddy that hunts in Greene County said they were rutting at his place 2 weeks ago.

Main rut was neAr Christmas like every year. Killed two chasing last weekend in a second rut
